you watched on, sandwiched between Edi and his mother as Ale doubled over, asking Flick to sub him off. Your mind was swirling with worry so much you hadn’t realised the camera had caught your worried faces, panning from his sister, to his mother, to you and the Edi as you all worriedly kept your gaze Ale who hobbled off into the tunnel.

After getting Ale home, some pain killers in his system and sleep on his mind, is only when you’d opened your phone, realisation dawning that you’d be outed by the Barca camera man for thousands to see and the fans were freaking out.

from as far as he could recall, you had been by Alejandro’s side, offering him chaotic, funny and reassuring companionship even through the middle school and high school rumours that you were in fact dating when you hadn’t been, you two continued to move through life beside each other.

when Alejandro began La Masia you did everything in your power to support him, attending his games and making big posters with his name on them despite the lateness of some getting you in trouble with your parents.

20 years later you two were still as close as ever, having introduced you to the rest of the team as his best friend he couldn’t help this sour bile rising to his throat everytime one of them would jokingly flirt with you or ask him if you were single.

you two had been friends since the beginning of time, so what was this jealousy he was feeling?

“you like her hermano” Lamine stated simply after an open practice day where you had attended, the entire time Alejandro would look in your direction to make sure you were still watching, disappointment clouding his expression when he watched Casado make attempts at catching your attention

“nah nah, we’re just friends” Balde shrugged off “always been, always will be”

“you’ll always be if you don’t say anything” Lamine said simply leaving him alone

El classico was always a stressful period for Alejandro, him going offline during this period wasn’t uncommon as he would pour all his time and resources into the time, so when he walked out onto the pitch, his eyes immediately scanned the crowd to look for you.

his eyes lit up at the sight of you sat next to Lamine’s mother, Kenye on your lap. His heart squeezed at the sight, you had always been so warm and loving towards the others, his teammates, their significant others and their families loved you like their own because of your hospitality and inviting personality.

the game was quick and intense, despite the 2-0 disadvantage they were down at and the disallowance of Fermin’s goal, Barcelona were prevailing and Culers were waiting the final whistle to celebrate the collection of the treble. Upon blowing the final whistle, the stadium erupted and the families began their way down to the pitch.

tears brimmed your eyes in pride as you watched Alejandro take the medal and join the boys, they lifted the trophy before family was allowed to join them in their celebrations. Watching as you hugged Pedri and conversed with some of the other WAGS, Alejandro couldn’t help but feel completely whole, his heart beating out of his chest with love, adoration and adrenaline

walking up to you he tapped your shoulder and before you could congratulate him his lips were on yours, arms encircled your waist as he pulled you into him like he wanted to merge into one.

“yogurt” you say to yourself, turning on your heel you made your way to the fridge, throwing the doors open and scanning for yogurt before grabbing your boyfriends plain yogurt and going back to the bowl

as you measured the spices, you hadn’t realised Ale had taken house DJ until the bass of the song vibrated through the walls, almost making you throw paprika everywhere. Within seconds your boyfriend was sliding into the kitchen, sock clad feet gliding over to you as he grabbed your hand and spun you around before dipping you

“ALE!” you squealed in surprise

“yes mi reina” he smiled bringing you up

“i was busy!” you scold him swatting his chest

“you need to let lose” he says pulling you into dance with him

you let the him take the reigns, the music moving through the walls and controlling your movement. It’s not long before you’re both engaged in a full dance battle, laughs mixed in with the music notes before you collapse into your boyfriends arms, breathless but happy

“i’m pretty sure it’s too late to cook” you laugh

“that’s fine, we can always order in” Ale smiles kissing you
