—because I just remembered that it existed, and some of ts is actually pretty interesting. Anyways some parts of these might be OOC but u can tell I was having fun. I'll probably post some segments from my other sections too; it just happens that my BajiFuyuTora section was 80 pages (/srs) by itself and I wanted to post the most interesting snippets.

BajiFuyuTora fic idea where Chifuyu forces Baji and Kazutora into watching the Twilight Saga

(Kazutora would be into it right off the bat; Baji would have to take more convincing though. He still ends up watching it because Kazutora asks him to watch it and he has trouble saying no to the people he cares about.)

(And the funniest part is that he actually gets super invested, like staring at the screen and such and absolutely flipping out whenever a new plot twist is revealed. Like he would be ranting about it at the dinner table about how stupid it was how Bella chose Edward over Jacob and Chifuyu’s eyes would just widen like: “oh my god. Baji-san. YOU ACTUALLY LIKE THIS STUFF. YOU  L I K E  TWILIGHT—” and Baji would just roll his eyes like “psh. No.” He goes on to insist how he doesn’t like Twilight and no he’s not super invested in the characters because they’re stupid and no he’s DEFINITELY not a part of Team Jacob.)

(He’s not convincing anyone though.)

(He also absolutely flips out when he finds out that Jacob ends up with a freaking. Baby. He claims it as bullshit.)

(Chifuyu is solidly on Team Edward and both he and Baji squabble constantly. They go over to Kazutora to try and break the tie about who’s the better choice for Bella and Kazutora’s just like “uhhhhhhh… good question”)

(Anyways Kazutora doesn’t really care who ends up with Bella; he just thinks both Edward and Jacob are hot.)

Dumb wholesome BajiFuyu fic where they attend a nerd meetup because Baji’s other friends that he’s made at school mostly consist of nerds.

So, both of their hair is slicked back with hair gel and they’re wearing disproportionately large glasses. Baji introduces him like “Ah! This is Fuyu…chi” before giving him a look that only Chifuyu understands before Chifuyu saves his stupid ass, supplying them smoothly with “Tsuno Fuyuchi.” Chifuyu ends up bonding with Baji’s friends due to their shared love for cheesy romance manga.

I found that the name for Baji’s other friend is actually “Mitarai.” I’m putting that down for later.

I think it’d be interesting to write a fic about Baji and Chifuyu’s relationship from Mitarai’s point of view, because I feel like he’d be really worried for Baji since Chifuyu is their school’s top delinquent and he thinks that Chifuyu’s bullying him.

I’m just imagining Mitarai hearing the rumors that there’s a Toman captain going to their school, so he expresses his concerns to Baji and Baji just looks over the lenses of his glasses like “hm. Scary.”

Chifuyu ends up visiting Baji in his dreams after his death.

It’s very real, but Chifuyu doesn’t know that because he reaches the very logical conclusion that it’s just a dream. Baji warns Chifuyu that he should stop visiting him since the place between life and death is very dangerous, especially for him. He explains that it’s not made to occupy living people like Chifuyu, but again, Chifuyu dismisses this as his subconscious trying to find a way to cope with Baji’s death. Apparently Baji’s spirit cannot move on from the in-between because his attachments to Mikey, Chifuyu and Kazutora are too strong, and all three of them absolutely refuse to accept the fact that he’s dead."

I JUST HAD ANOTHER OG TIMELINE BAJITORA FIC IDEA about how they could have met and stuff.

Set in the Original Timeline. Kazutora is going to jump off a tall building, and just as he’s about to jump off the ledge, he hears a voice behind him, asking him what he’s doing. (Or, Kazutora and Baji always find their way back to each other.)

[Future me editing: fun fact but this is a fic I do actually have posted, which can be found here for those interested, and ngl I still am pretty proud of this one.]

I also thought of this idea where Kazutora becomes the time-leaper instead of Takemichi. 

So for context, there’s two main ways that the time-leaping power gets passed down. 

One. A person kills the current time-leaper. 

Or two, the time-leaper passes down the power to someone else. 

So, I was just really confused at first why Kazutora didn’t become the time-leaper since he killed Shinichirou, the previous time-leaper, right? So why didn’t the power pass down to him? And then the author reveals later down in the story that Shinichirou actually gives the time-leaping ability to Takemichi before he was killed and I was just like ohhhh. Okay.

But anyways I had an idea where Kazutora became the time-leaper in order to save Baji in the past, with Chifuyu as the trigger.

There's an established rule within the universe that when the future self goes back to the future, the past self takes back over the body and I feel like that would cause a lot of conflict if Kazutora was the time-leaper because he’d basically be trying to damage-control his younger self every time he has to return to the future.

Anyways, I think it would be interesting to see Kazutora switch from his future self back to his past self from Chifuyu’s point of view. Like to see the slow shift in Kazutora’s features from mild, sheepishly timid and anxious to manically unhinged, blank and hollow would be absolutely jarring from Chifuyu’s point of view. Like Kazutora’s past self is absolutely insane and he’s incredibly difficult to deal with since he's so obsessed with murdering Mikey, so I feel like past Kazutora would actually cause more of the problems in the plot than anyone else.

Like there would be this one point where Kazutora holds his hand out to shake hands with Chifuyu, right? And Chifuyu just looks from Kazutora down to his open hand, before retracting his own like “Hell no man.” 

Kazutora blinked dumbly, shocked. “Why not?”

Chifuyu held his hand closely to his chest. “Because you… change every time we do this.”

“What…” Kazutora’s hand lowered ever so slightly, smile falling from his face. “Do you mean by that? I know that it’s bad, but I really, really need you to shake my hand.”

Kazutora took a step forward, and Chifuyu a step back.

“No, you don’t understand.” There was raw fear in Chifuyu’s eyes now as his voice slowly crescendoed. “You go crazy, man. You get so paranoid and you look at me like I’m a totally different person and you always talk about how you want to kill people. At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but it’s not. So I am not shaking your hand!”

The door slammed open and both Chifuyu and Kazutora visibly jumped. 

“Hey. What the hell is going on here?” Baji’s eyes surveyed over the situation, sweeping from Kazutora before settling on Chifuyu cowering in the corner. His eyes sharply focused back on Kazutora.

“Tora!” 

He flinched.

“Didn’t I tell you to stop bothering him?” Baji’s eyebrows creased. “What's wrong with you?!”

Anyways, I wanna write this one KazuFuyu fic where Kazutora and Chifuyu are in love with each other but think they’re in love with Baji. Baji is done with their shit. (aromantic Baji headcanon go!!)

I can have Baji being a really bad speller it’d be so funny. I just need to master the art of trying to spell things phonetically. It usually equates to bad spelling because English is not really a phonetic language.

I just want this one part where he’s texting the both of them and at one point he’s just glaring up at the white light of his phone screen like: “they… they can’t be this stupid.” He’s so. He’s so damn sick of this.

Anyways he calls up Ryuusei for help and their solution is so shove them in a closet.

Note: I’m kind of on the fence whether I want to have Mikey or Ryuusei, because both of them can play the same role within the fic itself. But then again I don't think things would necessarily work out with Mikey considering his and Kazutora's hostile, and then lowkey awkward dynamic in canon.

I could also make it Takemichi to mix things up a little so Chifuyu could really feel the betrayal of his best friend LMAOO, but that does mean I would have to shift around a bit of the writing.

Baji disguises it as an impromptu first division meeting but only he, Ryuusei (or Takemichi), Kazutora, and Chifuyu show up. So Chifuyu just gets really confused and asks if they invited the others, like Akkun, Yamagishi and if they should wait and Baji’s just like “nah, this is for the upper members anyway.” Also little detail but Baji’s spelling is absolutely horrid and he struggles with reading, which does NOT help considering that Kazutora texts with symbols and stuff.

Also Baji canonically mixes up “audacity” with “audashity” in the PazuRibe game and I think that’s one of the funniest things ever.

Also I think it would be funny if he had Takemichi’s contact saved to “b*tch baby” on his phone. Chifuyu is saved as “💫❄️Chifuyu❄️💫” because Chifuyu was the one to put it in💀💀. Either that or Baji puts “Dumbass #1 (Tora)” and “Dumbass #2 (Chifuyu)”

Kazutora grunted as Chifuyu landed on top of him.

“Baji-san?!” Chifuyu sputtered as both of them turned to look at Baji in unison. “What are you doing?!”

“I’m tired of dealing with you guys' shit.” Baji glared at them pointedly, his hand firmly secured on the door. “You two need to talk your problems out and not just rely on me to sort everything for you.” 

“And your solution is to shove us in a freaking closet?!”

Baji gave an evil grin, flashing his canines at them. “Yup.”

Chifuyu’s jaw hung open.

“Oh, but don’t worry. We’ll let you out.” Ryuusei gave a devilish grin as a ring of keys jingled in his hold. “In a couple hours.”

Chifuyu tried getting up, but he and Kazutora are all tangled limbs. “No wait, guys don’t—“

“Play nice you two.” Baji ordered seriously, before the door slammed shut with a definitive bang.

It was pitch black.

Chifuyu cursed from under his breath as his eyes adjusted to the darkness. “I can’t believe this.”

They make up in the closet and just talk things out. I’m also thinking of naming the fic “In the Closet” just bc I think it would be funny asf.

I’m just imagining that while the whole closet fiasco is going on Ryuusei just leans over to Baji and goes “…I wonder how long it takes for Kazutora to remember that he knows how to pick a lock.” 

Either that or the end note is Takemichi asking Baji what he’s doing waiting outside and Baji’s just like “I’m waiting to see how long it takes for Kazutora to remember he knows how to break doors.”

Anyways I really want to write this bc I want to have these tags saying “KazuFuyu being useless idiots” and “BajiRyuu coming in clutch” and “aromantic Baji Keisuke”

I think it's funny how Baji's hair is so beautiful and then Wakui turns around and reveals that he washes his hair with straight up soap. Like his hair is subsisting purely off olive oil and prayers.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I finally ran out of BajiFuyuTora fanfic. Currently missing BajiFuyuTora hours✊😔

OH MY GOD HOW DOES BAJI STILL MANAGE TO BE RELEVANT EVEN THOUGH HE DIED NOT EVEN IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE STORY. LIKE GO AWAY YOU’RE NOT RELEVANT ANYMORE.

I saw this one KazuFuyu fanfic where Chifuyu’s mom didn’t want Kazutora to visit because she didn’t want to interact with her “gay son’s felon husband” anyway that got an unintentionally good laugh out of me at 1 AM in the morning.

To preface, much of this particular segment operates on the interpretation that Kazutora has Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Part of the disclaimer section at the beginning of my essay (which is not included here) discusses that Wakui incorporating BPD-like elements into Kazutora’s character was most likely not intentional; and the interpretation of Kazutora’s character as such is based on a pattern of behavior that I’ve noticed due to my own personal experience and exposure! However I am not a licensed professional, and it is not typically recommended to diagnose someone as young as Kazutora is unless in extreme cases.

BPD as a disorder is also very stigmatized, thus, it can be written in a manner that is harmful. However, I am cross referencing the direct people in my life so this topic is talked about correctly and written in a sensitive way. Thank you.

But yeah I have a lot of thoughts about Baji lmao, and these are some of them regarding his dynamic with Kazutora. I am not done with the entire thing yet and this is actually a segment from my first (and only almost full-written) segment, ie. Baji as an active participant in the story. Part 2 will be focused on Baji as a passive force via him haunting the narrative, and part 3 is going to be about the way he is portrayed by different mediums (the original manga, the Japanese & English voice overs for the anime adaptation, the live action continuity, and the stage play; and maybe the 2025 Valhalla arc musical if I get my hands on that one), and how different actors' delivery affect his characterization.

This is the first time I've ever attempted to write a script for a video essay, so I am excited!; because these thoughts have genuinely been marinating in my brain for close to four years at this point.

I noticed that I may apparently(?) have some controversial opinions about Baji when it comes to specific aspects of his character (ie. How I view his friendship with Chifuyu as relatively uneven compared to his other interpersonal relationships, how his age informs his character and contributes a lot to his flaws, how I actually prefer the English dub over the original Japanese version, etc.), but I tend to take the text very literally, and thus will be providing substantial textual evidence to back up my points. Though of course I am always open to discussion.
