#bail hearing

Four years later Vader meets with Bail Organa. With a scrambler running he says that he has an offer for Organa and Kenobi, but wants to meet in person with both of them. A very nervous Bail tries to say he doesn’t know where the Jedi is. Vader scoffs, he already knows that Kenobi is on Tatooine, he knows about Luke and Leia and who they are to him. He knows about the Rebellion Organa is growing.  The three of them would meet in person and discuss Vader’s offer. Vader even tells Bail to warn Kenobi that if Vader had to actually go to Tatooine, he was going to take his son back and kill everyone else. 

Needless to say they met in person, on Alderaan, four weeks later. Obi Wan tries to apologize, for what it’s kind of hard to tell (He is still very much a mess and is blaming himself for everything). Anakin stops him, tells him he’s not exactly happy that Obi Wan had kept Anakin’s children from him, but that he also agrees that the Emperor should not know about them.  He also emphasizes that he (Anakin) is still fallen, has still done horrific things, and really doesn’t feel nearly as much guilt as he should for any of it (Yes, even slaughtering the Younglings).  This deal is for his own selfish reasons. 

Vader had found a temple on an uninhabited planet that was meant to be a trap, but was far too strong. It was meant to trap the activators in an inescapable vision, whatever would make them truly happy, while the temple drained their lifeforce and killed them. The trap, when activated, would be so powerful that anyone still on the surface would be caught. It required a Jedi and a Sith to Activate it. Vader wanted Kenobi to be the Jedi. 

Knowing that Kenobi was too stupidly noble to simply run with that offer, and a little for the safety of his children, Vader was offering to kill Sidious and turn the entire Empire over to Organa to turn back into a Republic (Vade: “Everyone in this room knows that I have no interest in an empire”). Vader would also bring the remaining clones to the planet and free them, before giving them the option to join them in the vision or leaving the planet as free men.  With prodding he was even willing to extend the offer to any freed Clones, Surviving Jedi, or members of the Rebellion (Since he could concede that all those people also deserved a Happy Ending, plus the more people that were caught the longer ther vision would last). He is not willing to extend that offer to the galaxy at large. 

Kenobi agrees. The trio return to Coruscant and Vader does in fact kill the Emperor with a droid that Vader built just after his Vision (whose entire purpose was to shoot Palpatine in the face). He turns the entire mess over to Organa. It takes another few weeks for the logistics of moving that amount of people to this little planet and passing along the offer. They bring the chipped clones down first and deactivate the chips, Vader (and shortly after Kenobi) explain about the Vision (It will kill you but you but you will be perfectly happy, time has no meaning within the vision so you might have decades in it no matter how long it takes to kill) and the fact that there were ships that would take them to the transport in orbit in one rotation. Anyone on the planet, it would be assumed that they wanted to enter the Vision.  The rebellion, the already free clones, and the surviving Jedi that crept out of the woodwork then also descend on the planet. Some were coming to join in the Vision, some were coming to find out if their loved ones had survived, some were coming to say goodbye. 

Cody was one of the newly freed troopers, so he and Obi Wan reunited (I, personally, am a rabid CodyWan fan). Cody quickly decides that he will follow his general. Ahsoka and Rex reunite with Vader (He still reminds everyone that he is still fallen, this is for selfish reasons, and no he does not regret). Ahsoka and Rex are not going to stay, they have decided that they will be there to guide new force users and so are there to say a final goodbye (Also to tell Vader that he is getting off really lightly, but the fact that he was being stopped would have to be good enough). Vader asks that they keep an eye out for the twins (The Lars’ had been convinced to move to Alderaan so that Luke could grow up with his sister. They all visited Shimi’s grave once a year). A handful of clones decide to leave as well (Grey, when he found out that Caleb survived, decided that his penance would be to protect Depa’s former padawan) but most Clones decided that it was time to rest. A handful of  surviving Jedi (Including Vos and Yoda) also decide that they will enter the Vision, though none were below a knight level at the time of Order 66.  Even a few Rebellion members, who had lost everything to the Empire, were joining them. 

After the ones that were leaving were gone, Vader told them that he had no idea if they would know this was a vision or not, if they would remember what had happened out in the real world, or if they would ever interact with each other within the vision. Then he and Kenobi activate the temple.

Bonus: 

Anakin Skywalker shoots up in bed after a horrible nightmare. He had fallen. Padme had died. The empire had risen. He lay back down slowly, into the warmth of Padme’s arms and her half asleep murmur. The details were already drifting away.

Professor Obi Wan Kenobi blinked at the vision of a man in front of him. He was just a bit shorter than him, with a dark complexion that only served to make the scar curling around his eye that much more compelling. What was even more compelling was the way the stranger’s jaw had dropped slightly and his eyes had widened at the sight of Obi Wan. 

“Hello There”  The beautiful stranger purred, catching one hand to kiss it. 

For an instant he felt like he knew this man, but in armor instead of cloth. Then it was gone in a rush of giddiness. This beautiful man had swept past everyone else in the bar, staring right at Obi Wan. He could have had anyone, but he chose Obi Wan.
