Mohammed Ismael is a #humanrights defender and member of the #Bahrain13 who was sentenced to 15 yrs in prison on political charges. He was allegedly tortured with electric shocks by #Bahrain security officers. He has been on #hungerstrike twice in prison. Sheikh Mirza al-Mahroos, member of the #Bahrain13, a religious scholar and VP of Al-Zahraa Society of Orphans, is serving 15 years in prison and was at one point beaten in detention every day for two months. Since his arrest, his baby daughter has been denied a passport in reprisal for her father's human rights work. Al-Mahroos was also reportedly one of the victims of the #tortureprince Sheikh Nasser, who allegedly abused prisoners personally. #Bahrain

Mohammed Hassan Jawad Parweez is a #humanrights defender who advocated specifically for the rights of prisoners and detainees. As a member of the #Bahrain13 he is now one of those prisoners, sentenced to 15 years and victim to alleged torture in a #Bahrain prison. We include him in this month's #ChampionsforJustice and call for his immediate release! #ADHRB

Abdulhadi al-Mukhodher is a #Shia cleric and a member of the #Bahrain13. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his faith & #humanrights advocacy. #Bahrain #ChampionsforJustice #ADHRB
