It feels like she knew her, from her bare face and her melodious voice but she can’t seem to put a thought to it. Suji was nudged by her friend, a co-worker, telling her that it’s Juniel—an idol that they usually listen to when the café isn’t too crowded. Usually at times as such, they would play random songs around the corner, but most of the time it would be ballad tracks like Juniel’s and IU’s, and Suji can’t help but to grin, because she heard so much about her from her own friend, although she can’t help but to snicker at how they knew each other—Jungyeol doesn’t seem to be a person who gets to be crowded with a lot of people, then again, he never fail to surprise her with his own group of friends.
Soon, the same voice that enchants most of their café goers, enchants her as well; a smile curls along her lips, waddling forward with a notepad by her hand, peering over the couch as she smiles. “Hello, ma’am. Would you like some refreshments? Are you working on a song?”
Her intention wasn’t to disturb the ambiance of the café. It was an attempt of enhancement, her voice suiting for such atmosphere. The song chosen wasn’t done unintentionally. After much thought, she concluded with one that would complement the place that wasn’t filled with customers at this time of the day. A cover was still practice. It didn’t necessary have to be her old or new compositions. In fact, the soloist did come inside to seek inspiration the moment she noticed the café from the other side of the street. Also, she did recall Jungyeol mentioning that place from time to time. A friend of his worked there.
She ended her small rendition on time, eyes now travelling up to have a better view of the face rather than the outfit the female was wearing. A glance on the name tag was probably the only brief stop she made before proceeding to greet the worker with a smile and a quick bow. “Hello, I would love to actually! Hmm, may I ask for recommendations? I have been ordering green tea lattes so many times-- I think I should try something new this time. I wasn’t really working on a song. I’m just trying out ways of playing others’ songs while adding my own style into them.”
