Hey there, Birthday Girl. 

You don’t know how hard it’s been for me to attempt to narrow down the million of different gift ideas I thought of to get you.

Your birthday is typical easy. I do the same thing every year. I rent some beat up classic of a car. A bug or 1950′s convertible. We dress all incognito which used to be don with the help of glamours and then I would suck it up and take you to some designer warehouse sale. Let you go crazy and even dress me up in at most three outfits. That’s where I draw the line. And then we’d drive home. Laugh, drink some crappy dollar store champagne and just pretend to be normal. Nobodies with way too much cash in their pockets. But, now? I mean what do you get the girl you owe everything to? What’s the right gift to thank someone for saving your life? Chocolates? A cake? Diamonds? Shoes? To agreeing to be tethered to you for all of eternity? To feeling whatever crap not only I feel, but Bones too? And he’s a very reckless and overly emotion pup, let me tell you. How do you get a gift to sum up all of that? How do thank the person who put the breath back into your lungs and life back into your step? And the thing is, I don’t think there is any gift that can sum all that up? How much you mean to me? So, I guess I’m just going to have to say it- You, Natalia Burgess, my old friend, are the most important person in my life now. You chose to give me a second chance when I wasn’t even sure I still wanted to be here myself and for that I will and forever am indebted to you. So, I hope you have your shopping shoes on. Our tradition continues two days after your actual birthday. And it’s going to continue the year after that and the year after that until the day we both die.

Happy Birthday, Burgess. I’m normally not the one to suggest a movie night, but I know you’ve asked before about what I used to write. So, I figured if you’d like to, we could watch some of it? Just for you? We can sit back and see all of the old films I worked on back in the day. There’s even some behind the scenes footage in there of Sarah and I even you really want to see me turn into a complete in utter sap. We could also just go to a fashion show or something I’d be miserable at too. But, I’d figured I’d might as well put the offer out there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADY NATALIA! 

ARE THOU READY FOR A SHAKESPEAREAN EVENING PART 2? First, we’ll part take in Drunk Shakespeare. Then go see a performance of Shakespeare in the Park. Then back to the Ren Faire! Only to finish the night off with *drum roll please* Who says I never invite you to Karaoke? SHAKESPEAREAN KARAOKE! Well, technically it’s more of a Disney themed karaoke night, but it’s in full costumes, so I figured it was close enough. I figure since we are technically scene partners on Operation Unknown we could go as the Romeo and Juliet version of some Disney couple? Or Disney Villains? or Sidekicks? Or we could even dress up from characters in the Knight’s Tale and reenact the “We Will Rock You” Moment. Get excited!

I owed this Composer to set a meet up with her anyhow, so not only did I just make his dreams come true, but I worked my magic with her assistant to get you and your girl VIP Backstage passes to one of her shows of your choice.

Hey Little Sis,

Seeing that it is your birthday and you’re dressed up as a Cheerleader (in a skirt that is way too short by the way), I figured it was only suiting to officially deem you an honorary Kent with your own family Letterman Jacket (*Please put it on immediately*). The super necklace, is because magic or not, you’re a lot tougher than you think and the rest is so if you’re ever in danger without your powers again, you have your own personal human survival kit. You’ve got maze, a taser, and, yes, because apparently I’m a dinosaur- just in case your phone won’t work or you’re having trouble getting a hold of anybody, you can page me and where ever I am? Whatever I’m doing? I’ll come. No matter what.

So, I know we didn’t start out great? You know with the whole you trying to kiss me thing which was super gross FYI and then the me almost trying to throw a rock at you thing... We’ve had our ups and downs. Like how you get annoyed when I sneak out or how I might have broken a wine glass or two when coming in drunk and wanting to crack open a bottle of champagne... And then a few mugs. Okay, a lot of mugs. But, even if I haven’t always known what my sister sees in you and even if it pains me to say it, you’re kind of the best thing that ever happened to her? And by being so, you’re kind of the best thing that ever happened to me and our weirdly unconventional family. Are you ever sometimes weirded out by the fact that Make-Shift-Dad is technically your father-in-law? Cause I sure as hell would be. I’m getting off topic which means it’s time to wrap this up- I just wanted to say that you’re kinda pretty great? And I hope you have one hell of Birthday.
