WIP Wednesday
Thanks to @distracteddream's President Loki snippet from last week, I found myself returning to my beloved Bad Things 'verse, specifically the collar fic. :3 I was able to untangle the part I'd been stuck on and make good progress on it, so hopefully I can finish and share it sometime soon. 💚
Thank you @thosegayoldmen @elodiah @lokimobius @tealdropsworld and @kcscribbler for the tags! <3
Loki heard the outer garage door rattle open, then keys in the lock. Don did a double-take as he came into the kitchen, seeing Loki waiting with his arms crossed. For a moment, Loki thought he saw relief flash across Don’s face, before he turned to shut the door. Loki knew when Don caught sight of what lay on the table because he went very still. Then he too-casually turned back to face Loki. He had a plastic bag in one hand, his keys in the other, and a motorized drill under one arm. “What is that?” Don said. Loki had to force his lips apart to respond. “You’re well aware of what it is.” Don glanced at the collar then back at Loki. “I mean what is it doing here, on the kitchen table?” When Loki said nothing, Don finally put two and two together. He sighed and reached up to pinch the bridge of his nose. “Loki, I’m not going to punish you. You’re an adult—a god,” he added dryly. “You make your own decisions and you live with the consequences.” The last word made Loki’s skin prickle. Did Don have something worse in mind? “It’s not a punishment,” Loki said, even though it was. “It’s…an offer.” Don only stared at him, a slight frown on his face that Loki couldn’t read. Loki shifted uneasily. Don was usually such an open book; he didn’t enjoy not knowing how this conversation would end. “Let me fix the door and then we’ll talk.”
I was rushing to post, so an open tag this time! <3
