Ahhh, the hardest question to ever ask a fan. For my own sanity, this list isn’t in any particular order. And for all I know, I’d have difference answers another day. But these are among my favorites. 

1. Lion 3: Straight to Video - It was the first episode I saw that caught my interest. Actually, I had seen a few other early first season episodes, but early SU wasn’t its finest and thus didn’t grab my attention. This episode, however, made me bawl, and I’ve never been the same :)

2.  Mindful Education - A beautiful episode with a great message as well as gorgeous animation and a breathtaking song. The ending scene with Connie and Steven falling and talking is still one of my favorites of the entire show. 

3. Bismuth - I don’t think I need words for this one. I still cry. 

4. Monster Reunion - I love Centipeedle and I love angst and backstory. So of course I was going to love it. Not a sad ending, either—there’s hope.

5. Storm in the Room - Steven talking with his mother is something I’ve been hoping to see, in some shape or form. This was a fantastic way of doing it. Seeing’s Steven’s reaction to looking at his mother for the first time was exactly how I’d imagine it’d feel like; sweet but sad, with something foreboding in the background. And again, it ends on a happier note. 

Can't talk about the Diamonds but she can still roast Holly.

To comment on the most trivial part of this excellent discussion: I did not get that Peridot was calling Onion a "Kindergartener" to refer to his farmer until you spelled it out!! I was confused by that bit of dialog but oh my goodness. This puts an even stronger growing/nurturing spin on Gem formation and a lot of farming/Gem creation parallels to ponder. Farming can be destructive to the environment as well. 1/2

Does Peridot have ideas on how to make Gem production sustainable? She had some ideas she wanted to share with Yellow Diamond before that discussion went awry. 2/2

1. Seduce - Jasper. She’d fail to be impressed by my awkwardness and bad flirting, but maybe one day she’ll notice me... 

2. Steal from - Lapis, and I’d steal back all of Peridot’s belongings in the barn (not the barn though, gross). Give back Peridot’s stuff, you coward. 

3. Serenade - Peridot. And I’d bless her with the song Dragon Slayer by Ninja Sex Party because I CLEARLY know what the ladies want... But for real I’d love to sing to Peridot just to make her smile :)

this grinds my fucking gears. as someone who has heard "gay" used as slur approximately 50 million times some days I want to fire back with "omg you can't call urself g*y".
