still learning how to pronounce cicadas like "s-icadas" and not "Ki-cadas."
sometimes, when i see stuff like “If you only see one side, you might as well see nothing at all.” and think im an excellent writer and other times i notice i spelled “the” wrong for the entire paragraph

You can read a lot but still be bad at spelling
You know what always pisses me off is that peoples say the reason why I'm a bad speller is I don't read enough. I would like to say I've always been a bad speller it is not something that I'm good at (yet I I've chosen to teach English as a foreign language as my career). But here's the thing growing up I have always been an Avid Reader like when teachers would tell me you should just read more and you'll get become a better speller both me and my teachers would look at them and be like you want me to do anything besides reading because that's currently what I mostly do in my free time anyway. Like I do get it reading does help with your spelling and recognising of words but at the same time some people are just bad at spelling and that is honestly my whole family. I mentioned to a co-worker the fact that I'm not the best speller in the world and she had the gall to look at me and say well that's because you listen to audiobooks you don't actually read anymore凸(♯`∧´)凸
Admittedly
‘barbeque’ was one of the hardest words for me to spell for most of my childhood.
Usually spelled it “BBQ”
If only tags had auto correct...
