It's taken me a few days and many re-writes but here goes.

On Monday, Becky announced that she and Seth Rollins were about to embark on their biggest adventure yet. Parenthood.

It’s a bittersweet feeling, I’m so genuinely happy for them both, Becky has spoken about becoming a mother. And what an amazing one she will be.

For 5+ years Becky has been an integral part of my life. Her teaming with Sasha in NXT will always be something I’ll enjoy. She captivated me in a way I haven’t felt since CM Punk. She was so different with her Orange hair and Steam Punk attire.

I was over the moon when she became inaugural SmackDown women’s champion. I was lucky to attend the SmackDown taping in Glasgow and retain against Alexa Bliss. The ticket for the show was a surprise early Christmas present from my mum.

She lost that title, I never lost faith in her, never wavered in my support, I was always 100% behind her.

As most of you know, I lost my Mum in 2017 and wrestling became a huge escape from my grief and sudden feeling of loneliness. As always it was Becky cheering me up, with her puns and the joy I got watching her wrestle. I could always tell she just loves wrestling.

In 2018, after always being in the background, a groundswell for Becky happened. You could hear it at MITB, we were behind her, we wanted her to win that match. Then the slap heard around the world, Becky slated for a heel turn which was never to be. The crowd would cheer anything she did, even getting a cheer whilst slagging Edge’s then career ending neck injury. At Hell In A Cell,. She FINALLY became champ again. I woke my sister up at 2am-ish with how loud I was. I was so excited. I cried.

In November of that year, I FINALLY met her. And it was one of the most amazing moments of my life. I sobbed, and Becky, amazing as always, didn’t hesitate to give me a hug and allow me a moment to compose myself. I told her the story behind my ticket, it was the same one given to me 2 years before by my mum, to go watch her wrestle. My mum knew of my love of Becky and now Becky knew that my Mum never balked at it, she encouraged it. She just about jumped over the table to hug me. My legs were shaking. But Becky never rushed me. Becky gives the best hugs.

The support for Becky continued, she had that awesome bloodied moment on Raw, won the Royal Rumble, I was in the pub with my friends watching that moment and didn’t sound human when she won. I was watching as always, with love and joy. She deserved this so much. But I was struggling. Really struggling. And then I was almost dead, exactly one week before WM35.

I pulled myself together, and went to watch WM in the pub with my friends. And she won. She cemented her legacy, first Women’s Main Event, first Main Event winner, first woman to hold the titles simultaneously. I stood up out of my seat, and I cried. I almost missed this amazing well deserved moment. It was then I vowed to push myself forward, to keep going. Becky is the poster girl for determination, and knowing your worth. I was beginning to know mine.

This last year has been an absolute pleasure to witness, as a Becky fan I got to watch her live her dreams and break glass ceilings, and show the world you don’t have to be A man to be THE man.

And on day 399 her Raw Women’s title reign ended. She begins her reign of most amazing mum, it ties in well with her long reign of most amazing person.

Becky, as I write what’s pretty much a career retrospective for you, I just want to thank you. For giving me love, hope, joy and happiness. Thank you for being you, thank you for existing. I don’t know what’ll happen, where you’ll go from here, but I want you to know that what ever it is, you have my full support, as you always have. Because you made my life worth living, and less dark. And less lonely, through you I’ve made some amazing friends, who’ll I’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Your legacy is set. A future Hall Of Famer. And on the road to becoming the amazing Mum we all know you will be.
