Samurai Cop is far more amazing than it sounds. The title and casting tell you a great deal about the basics of what you'll see. However, it's all given an extra edge because of the complete lack of production values. This deadly gang only operates in broad daylight not because they are bold but rather because lighting was too expensive. Not only were voices dubbed in poorly during post-production some were so warped random characters sound robotic. It's a labor of love that came out with four heads, six arms, seven legs, and still received a lot of love from Daddy.

Rating: While it was a pretty good match, I actually liked it less than Flair's match with Luger, which seemingly defies all logic.  The story of the match is that Sting had his "Dudes with Attitude," (Orndoff, JYD, Steiners, some guy in a shirt) to counter the Four Horsemen, and that, coupled with his lazy Hogan no-selling, proved too much for the champ.  After winning Sting put Flair over...a lot, stating that Flair was the greatest of all time and that he would "try," before once again reminding the crowd that Flair was better than him in every way.  It was an odd tactic, in that it immediately made him look like a weak champ on day one, and they built this moment for years only to end up getting the crowd to boo his victory promo.  It takes skill to fuck stuff up this badly.  

Shot this a few years ago and, since I'm avoiding work, I thought I'd share. Jeff Tweedy mugs for the cameras and performs "Acuff Rose" without amplification in Champaign, Illinois. It was pretty amazing to hear his voice and guitar naturally fill a 120 year old theater. Later that evening I hung out with his wife Sue and son Spencer while some of the rest of our party went on the bus to meet Jeff. Forgive the camera quality. Stupidly used digital zoom in a dark environment, causing it to look as if you are viewing this drunk.
