Release time! It's time for more of our hedgehogs to be released back into the wild. These two hedgehogs were rescued after being dug up from hibernation on a building site. Sadly, however, the third had suffered such serious injuries, that it lost its fight. The father of the new arrival is handsome silverback, Kouillou, with this being his 18th infant! Viringika is doing really well and proving to be a great mum, she is being very protective of the little one so we do not yet know if we have a boy or a girl. This birth is the 147th western lowland gorilla born across Port Lympne and @howlettspark making us world leaders in breeding these critically endangered animals. Visitors can already spot the new arrival at the Palace of the Apes, Viringika has been bringing the youngster outside during the 12pm and 3pm scatter feed.
