It starts as the usual backrooms, the classic yellow tinged wallpaper, the humming flourscent lights, and the faint but ever-present smell of cyanide almonds. ;) What immediately sets these areas apart from the usual backrooms is the excess of "model" trains and train memorabilia. Tables of unreasonable length and impossible proportions covered in model layouts that are equal parts extensively detailed and flawed beyond reason. Tiny crossings where the gate stands perpendicular to the tracks, sidings that go straight into buildings, wooden figures that are disturbingly lifelike.

The deeper you go, the stranger things become. The models stop being confined to their tables, they bend and incline at impossible angles that the engines seem to traverse perfectly fine, and worst of all is the fact that either you're shrinking or the model trains are growing. Before long the trains are big enough to ride, and this will most likely be when you notice that not all of the trains are just models. From fully functional locomotives you can hold in your hand, to life sized models made of plastic and die-cast. Then there's... the others...
