I wouldn't waste a post trying to get you to vote for me, but I am asking that you please take 1 minute and nominate 'Backline Improv' as Best Comedy Group. This is for everyone who has come to our shows and agreed that it was the most they've laughed in years. Also, the students that come to shows every week, and have made Studio Gallery the home of underground comedy in Omaha. Many of our current/former students and alumni have other great groups I'm sure we'll compete with, and that's great. The reason I'm bothering you all with filling this out using 'Backline Improv' and not specific improv teams, is because I want every student who's gone through classes, or been in a show, to feel honored for the great work they've done. We have the best comedians in town here every week, some of them almost working a part-time job for free. To at least have the city acknowledge their hard work by nomination is plenty, even if we don't get the award. And here's a cheers for OEA's first Comedy section!
