I suspect that Danhausen singing the Joe Hendry song would get him to appear, but they'd collectively have too much puppy-dog eye energy for the WWE to let them form a team... right?
I'm still just wondering if the mystery guy for May 9 isn't RKO, just from a story balancing perspective. My understanding is that RKO won at elimination by turning heel on his mentee. Danhausen needs both a mentor and a tag partner after a double cross by his own mentor. RKO came out with the biggest takeaway at elimination, and Danhausen the biggest blow at elimination as 1) he debuted at that event that RKO won and 2) He got booed for it. So their names have already been whispered in the same breath, but not in a way that connects them more than just subconsciously.
RKO/Viper, turning evil, betraying mentee + Danhausen very nice very evil being betrayed by mentor... they've got that weird common ground if RKO can put up with the clownery.
I’m not gonna lie, Michael Cole was the highlight of Backlash 2025 for me lol.
