The news of a thief having robbed the castle made its way far and fast across Candyland. Someone who had gotten in and gotten out without getting caught, taking some pricey things along the way.
Someone who, if rumors could be trusted, might be hiding out in the Licorice Wicket. And wasn’t that just deliciously convenient for Lord Licorice, who could use the assistance of like that and knew his way around the wicket.
So with a lantern in hand he descended deep into the dark wicket that he called home in search for this mysterious thief. Bag of chocolate coins on his hip ready to be traded away. (Why he even had said gold was a mystery to him, he didn’t do much trading with anyone. It was however, very dusty when he found it in the back of one of his drawers.)
