kennedy has always lived in oasis springs, and despite the heat, he enjoys wearing sweaters at all times. when bennett moved to the local university for a basketball scholarship, most people couldn’t help but like him---and that didn’t exclude kennedy. the sweater-loving boy became a distant admirer of their school’s star, always at every game, always defending bennett when someone would whisper a homophobic slur under their breath. kennedy never once talked to his crush, too shy and intimidated by his social status. but one day, they bumped shoulders on accident and bennett apologized so profusely that kennedy didn’t get a word in edgewise before the basketball player rushed off to practice, obviously late.
