Aaliyah and her rants
Hi! It’s Aaliyah, I’m back. It’s been 10 days, since orange face has gone outta the white house and I feel happy. Just really, really, happy. But, that’s not the only reason. I’ve rediscovered Scorose, Hinny, Ronmione and all the HP fandom ships. My baby sister (4 months) is getting sassier and sassier by the day. And the website I designed, tweensstorytellersguild.weebly.com, has been getting more and more views, and the Guild itself, is nearing it’s 1st birthday. I got only 1 B in my 5 subjects this quarter. Life is good.
I’ve been thinking more and more about how children’s TV shows reinforce black stereotypes. We’ve all seen it. Elmo, Caillou, and all other baby shows reinforce stereotypes from a young age. Not preschool shows (Sofia the First, Elena of Avalor, Jake the Pirate, etc.) Baby shows.
We’ve all seen it. That one black character in children’s shows who raps, wears gold chains, and says “YO!” and speaks in slang. GAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! This is just-like-GAHHHHHHH!!!!!!
*Starts saying... not that bad swears since she lives a very sheltered life.... In bengali*
THIS IS WHY KIDS ARE RACIST! WAKE UP IDIOTS, AND START PRODUCING PC SHOWS! FOR GOD’S SAKE!
