Babu rolled once again on the dirt, spitting and yelling against the lion that towered over him. Not that he could do any much against the walking shadow of The Pridelands.

"I have had enough of you". Kovu's voice was low and calm, but the anger it showed was enough to make the other male tremble. "I tolerated your insults for seasons. I understood that it was difficult for the Pridelanders to accept us coming into your territory, that we hurt you-"

"YOU BLINDED ME!" Babu yelled. "You and your scummy pride did this to me!"

"I know that! I'm sorry for what we did, I got punished and I'm trying to be a better me," the brown lion inhaled deeply, "but I won't let anyone else walk over me. I won't let a bully try to tell me who I'm supposed to be. I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'm just asking to move on and learn to live with the mistakes we both made. For the sakes of our families".

Babu lowered his head. Kovu thought it was finally over.

"You filthy Outsider, do you know who you are talking to? Who am I? How d-"

So many takes I have seen of Kovu being a pushover or not giving him credit for the journey he went into and making him a bloodthirsty monster that will betray The Pridelands at any moment. I dont agree with them, but also, Kovu was trained all his life to kill a lion twice his size. He doesn't have as many anger issues as Vitani, but he was raised in a harsh enviroment and that is going to show.
