I'm giving audiobooks a chance. Whilst out walking on non-gym days I've started listening to The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko. I have read this before, but tbh I wanted to try one which I've already read first to see how I get on with it as opposed to ruin a new one if it all goes tits up! On the whole it seems fine, occasionally I find my mind wandering to something else and I miss a few lines before I snap back from the tangent, but I think it's working out.
Had coffee with Becky today which was great! Two hours of catch up which felt more like 45 mins and I got my caramel latte fix too! Really looking forward to a gathering of the Bristol tumblr's next week now!
One of the things on my bucket list is to learn another language and I've decided maybe it's time I start to look in to this as I'm sure it will take me like 10 years. I'm not totally ready to commit to it right now or start taking classes or anything, but I thought I might look into Interlingua as I hear it's fairly simple to pick up yourself and is a good gateway to other languages. At the moment I think I'm leaning towards Spanish, for several reasons, but dunno, I've always kinda fancied French and have in recent years come to believe German is cool... Anyone got any thoughts or advice on this? Nothing too challenging please! I did try Japanese when I was at uni but never went anywhere with it.
And finally! I cannot wait to go out tomorrow night! Meeting up with some old colleagues at our 'then' local pub for a catch up. First time I will have had a drink in two weeks and to be honest I'm dying for one!! I think it's like I've said previously, I'm just going a bit stir crazy....but I would murder for a nice frosty Kopparberg!!
