“CIVIL” is the latest track from Prague-based, dark-pop duo ba:zel, composed of Ewelina Ai-fen Chiu and Daniel Vlček. Slow and gradual in its icy prose, the meandering sounds of the single slices through looping rave cut. Snaking through sparse, resonant percussion, ambient piano chords and the soft, whimpered haunt of vocalist Ewelina Chiu’s cries detail ba:zel's latest for "CIVIL". Depicted as a track inspired by person’s connection to their surroundings, ba:zel had this to say about their latest single "CIVIL":

“'CIVIL' juxtaposes the human being with its urban surroundings, questioning the decision for "urban migration" and the relation of a person to the artificial light that seemingly constantly surrounds them. The track balances between obvious feelings of solitude and grandiose appetites for nightlife and darkness while tenderly approaching urban light as, in itself, an organism capable of its own brutality and desire.”
