James Taylor - The Complete Warner Bros. Albums: 1970-1976 (6xLP)
@jamestaylor_com @rhino_records #B4ThisWorld #JT #JamesTaylor #folk #folkmusic Now, admittedly, I don’t post a lot of folk or folk rock type records but I’ve been on a big box-set kick lately and this James Taylor box is a pretty quintessential entry point for anyone wanting to get a primer on James’ early and most recognizable works. It’s a six record set of his Warner Brothers releases and they’ve all been remastered and reissued for your listening pleasure. For those of you that love James, you’ll notice that a few of these titles have been out of print for quite a while so if you’re looking to fill in parts of your collection, this is a pretty great way to do it. The remastering was overseen by Peter Asher, the guy responsible for signing him to Apple Records back in the day, managing him for 25 or so years, and even producing a few of the titles in this box so the remastering was done with fresh ears, but ears who probably know James better than just about anyone else in his musical orbit. It’s soft, it’s mellow, and it’s basically custom tailored for a space out morning with strong coffee, a cat or dog on your lap, and a completely empty to-do list. I guess I know what I’m doing this weekend! https://www.rhino.com/product/the-complete-warner-bros-albums-1970-1976
