I'm sorry but one of my fav local bands had a show this weekend and its been a while since we've hung out, so I was with them as much as I could
Its so cool though bc the guitarist saved a spot for my art to be in this art show he's hosting!!
I'm super excited cuz some solid names are attached to this gig and its a good fire to light under my ass that'll push me to make some shit I'll really be proud of.

And then the live music is just too good. It DRAGS me by the scruff and into the pit. DEMANDING I offer my body as a vessel for it to possess as gratitude.
And then I'm sore for the next two days. Again.
Not mad at it though! This last pit was SO fun. All sorts of different kinds of people having a blast and dancing together. Playful together!! Damn do I love to see it.
Mad props to bands bringing people together. Went in totally blind for this one and the first band was this KILLER latina fronted punk band, and she weaved a LOT of spanish in her songs. Absolutely wicked, GAH I'm gonna be replaying this one in my head for a minute

Did karaoke at the bar for the first time last night. Yall I was fucking SHAKING. Hopefully it wasn't too obvious but man it's great to push past your nervous jitters sometimes and just go for it. The applause I got was WAY more than I ever expected, and everyone was so supportive and cheering me on <3 Lotta of people talked politics with me and steered me towards more spaces so I can make a change in my city too, which was AWESOME
I love queer bars and queer spaces, definitely gonna give karaoke there a go again sometime. Once I get comfortable with this performance anxiety I really gotta work on fleshing out my songs and maybe even performing. It'd be cool to find some other people to make a queer punk band.
