The only items / weapons that worked were from a Disney intellectual property. And I was like "Halliday what the fuck?" (I think I was helping him with something earlier in the dream??) And he was like, "oh yeah, we signed a contract with Disney, I forgot about that. I don't even know what's going on in this section or what weapons are good", which apparently their licensing agreement to use Disney stuff at all.
Which really feels like something sucky that would happen, tbh.
(however, you could use stuff from IPs that Disney had bought out, like Star Wars)
