Instead of writing this paper...
I'm contemplating the little ridiculous things that keep me going.
Like this Michelangelo business. I don't think a hamster has ever been more entertaining, even in death.
Here's the story: B-co (of course) has this tradition where the pissheads have a secret pet that they have to keep alive longer than the class before, and the juniors try to sabotage this and kill their pet. '15's pet already won by staying alive 6x longer than '14's, but died on his own. A hamster named Michelangelo killed himself by running into a wall twice. Or something like that.
But that's not what makes it hilarious. They decided to hold a funeral for it, and went all out. One of their buddies made a little wooden box with their sign etched on one side and a band lyre on the other. And they had a viewing after chow, with hallway announcements and opera music and pallbearer ideas. My old lady just left for the funeral, which was scheduled after the usual playing of Taps on the quad.
I love shit like this. It's what makes the Corps the Corps, it will be something to look back to and laugh, and it'll keep me going at times. I'm glad for it.
So yea, back to this paper :/
