So what I want to know is that if Mellie is part of B-613, did she knowingly agree to have Jerry sacrificed so that her husband could win re-election and thereby secure her own political future?
Or is she just a pawn or a design by B-613 to retain control of the Executive? And was Andrew Nichols in league with B-613? Just how was he and his co-conspirators able to corrupt members of the White House staff? Wouldn’t B-613 have stopped him?Â

i kinda of want Olivia to be smarter than this.should she look into her mother's death? ofc. I can't imagine anyone not doing it. But assuming that things are as they appear just under the surface is silly of her. Your mother's plane was shot down 15 years ago, you think your dad was head of b-613 15 years ago? Seems unlikely. Fitz might or might not have flown the plane that shot hers down. Why after what happened with Mrs. Smith would you assume that the first story you uncover is the true story?

This came up between my friend and I... Question: How would you feel if you found out your boyfriend (say you've been dating for awhile and know each other really well) was a B-613 agent (aka an assassin that works for a secret government agency) and he hid that from you? B-611, B-612, B-613
Now Scandal watchers will find the code name B-612 familiar, it is of course similar to the code name for the fictional covert ops. group, B-613. B-612 however is real organization with the goal of creating some type of defense against asteroids that might hit the earth. Not sure how necessary that type of thing is, but it is interesting.
There is also a B-611, which is a series of short range missile developed by the Chinese in the 1990's.
I don't think Shonda chose the name by accident. I'm sure it was on purpose the question is what are the we the audience supposed to conclude from her naming choice? Is B-613 a missile or a defenisive shield against the inevitable?

 Who the hell recommended her for the job of assassinating Fitz? Who hooked her up with Verna? So, B-613 were only too happy to be able to pin his assassination on someone because it would have gotten rid of the Olitz equation, and their threat to the very existence and nature of B-613’s work. And we know that B-613 has no boundaries and is involved with all kinds of matters of national security.  JFC, the Olitz relationship really does touch everyone and everything around them.Â
