On the set of 1x20, in March 2006, Jared gives Jensen a birthday peresent - an essential director's tool, called a viewfinder.

Jensen: "Big Jay bought it for me for my birthday, which is tomorrow. So now I can act like I know what I'm doing and still don't know that I have no idea".

Four years later, Jensen directs his first episode.

In total, Jensen directed 6 episodes Supernatural.

It's been a year and a half since the Supernatural ended. Jensen and Jared work together on the set of Walker. Jared as the lead actor and producer, Jensen as the director. And they celebrate Jensen's birthday together.
