After the loss to MI in the previous match, Sunrisers Hyderabad bounced back in devastating fashion as they routed Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets in a Tata IPL 2024 encounter at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.

Earlier . LSG Skipper  K L Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first . SRH bowlers kept them under control and backed by fine fielding. LSG found the going tough . Opener Quinton de Kock  did not last long out for 2 . Big hitting and in- from Marcus Stoinis fell for 3 . Skipper K L Rahul  looked slow and was out for 29. LSG were struggling.

Krunal Pandya promoted up the  batting order tied hard to accelerate the scoring scoring 24 before he was run- out by a brilliant throw by SRH Skipper pat Cummins.  Nicholas Pooran not out 48 ( 26  balls, 6 fours, 1 six) and Ayush Badoni  not out 55 ( 30 balls, 9 fours ) gave LSG total some respectability from where they were tottering. LSG eventually managing to reach 165/ 4 in their 20 overs

SRH bowling figures : Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2/ 12 ( 4 overs) , Pat Cummins 1/ 47 ( 4 overs) , Shahbaz Ahmed 0/ 9 ( 2 overs), Vijayakanth Viyaskanth0/ 27 ( 4 overs) , Jaydev Unadkat 0/ 19 ( 2 overs), T Natarajan 0/ 50 ( 4 overs) a tab bit off in this match.

In reply SRH made mockery of the chase. It what is perhaps the most most devastating batting prowess in the IPL history . SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head  sent the LSG bowlers on a leather hunt with a unbelievable batting prowess. The duo put on an astonishing  167 / 0 in just 10 overs.  LSG bowlers and Skipper K L Rahul could watch the absolute carnage .

It is the most convincing victory in Tata IPL 2024 and one in history as well .  Abhishek Sharma  was not out  75 ( 28 balls , 8 fours ,  6 sixes) while  the  explosive Travis Head was not out with a blazing  89 ( 30 balls, 8 fours, 8 sixes) . SRH reaching 167/ 0 in 9. 4 overs. It was demolition at it’s best .

The rampaging duo hit 14 sixes  and 16 fours in  the brutal carnage. It was batting of high class and quality . Simply  breathtaking to watch.

A win that  boost SRH net  run- rate and  play- offs slot now with 14 points further strengthened .  SRH has been the  team this year with their fearless approach and led astutely by 2023 ICC 50-over World Cup winning  Australian skipper Pat Cummins.

SRH Impact Player: Abhishek Sharma replaces T Natarajan

Delhi Capitals  got much needed win under their belt as they beat Lucknow Super Giants by 6 wickets in  a Tata IPL 2024 encounter in Lucknow.  It was the second  win for the Delhi Capitals in the tournament.

Lucknow Super Giants Skipper K L Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first. K L Rahul’s move appeared to have backfired as LSG lost wickets regular intervals . Quinton de Kock fell for ( 19) , Devdutt Padikkal continued his horror run out for 3.

LSG Skipper Kl Rahul looked in his fluent best and set for big one but he fell for 39 ( 22 balls, 5 fours, 1 six) . Marcus Stoinis after he was dropped on zero failed to capitalise out for 8 . Nicholas Pooran bowled by a beauty from Kuldeep Yadav for 0 . Impact player Deepak Hooda did not score much out for 10 . Krunal Pandya ( 3).

LSG were tottering at 94-7, 13 overs. But thanks to Ayush Badoni not out 55 ( 35 balls, 5 fours, 1 six) and Arshad Khan 20 ( 16 balls , 2 fours), LSG managed to reach a respectable 167/ 7 in their 20 overs.

DC bowling figures were : Kuldeep Yadav was superb with 3/ 20 ( 4 overs) , Khaleel Ahmed 2/ 41 ( 4 overs), Ishant Sharma 1/ 36 ( 4 overs), Mukesh Kumar 1/ 41 (4 overs), Axar Patel 0/ 26 ( 4 overs)

In Reply,  Delhi Capitals who are desperate for win having won only one of their 5 matches so far lost David Warner early for 8. His fellow opener Prithvi Shaw scored 32 ( 22 balls , 6 fours) . Making his IPL debut Jake Fraser-McGurk impressed with an attacking 55 ( 35 balls, 3 fours, 5 sixes) . Skipper Rishabh Pant 41 ( 24 balls 3 fours, 3 sixes) . But Pant and Jake  fell soon after .

Tristan Stubbs not out 15 ( 9 balls, 1 six)  and Shai Hope  11 ( 10 balls 1 four) not out saw  DC  home by six wickets finishing  at 170/ 4 in 18.1 overs. Stubbs hitting the winning shot for a six.
