Orange Blossom
Orange Blossom:Â If you could pick the gender and appearance of your child, would you?Â
Lily truly would not pick the gender and appearance of her child, though sheâd almost hope that the child was a boy due to the fact that then sheâd have to carry the flower name tradition in her family. There are only so many flowers in the world that make reasonable names and truly Lily hasnât thought about having children in the near future at all. Really, as long as the child she brings into the world is healthy and sheâs done a good job, no, amazing job, the best possible job she could do to make them happy but still be a parent, then thatâs enough for her. Picking her child's appearance almost seems cruel in a way she can't quite pinpoint. As if she needed to make her child look a certain way to please herself. As if she needed it to make sure that her child was perfect, what she wanted them to look like and not give them a choice. That's what's cruel to her, not giving them a choice as well as molding her child into what she wants them to be, as opposed to what they were supposed to.
To her, that's not love. That's not what a good parent should be. Love is and is supposed to be unconditional, especially for your children, so picking their appearance based on personal preference seems selfish. Seems like it totally goes against her believing in unconditional love.Â
