Since designing a mask for my own Robin Wood Carving axe, I’ve had lots of requests from people to make one for them, too. They’re proving to be very popular indeed. The two shown here are made from 4mm veg tanned leather. One is dyed dark brown and the other is briar brown. does food trigger you
it doesnt cause panic but I have really bad acid reflex so im almost constantly nauseous! when im anxious thats usually amplified by 100 and the sight of food makes me like ready to actually puke. I sometimes go on tumblr when im anxious to try to calm down so I like to be able to do that safely. It happened before I blacklisted it, so please tag ur #food kids :^) That’s also the reason why i reblog it sometimes bc there are situations where I’m cool with it!!
Mask for a Robin Wood axe
GB SFA Kydex mask .
Its been awhile since I made up kydex masks for some smaller Gransfors Brucks belt hatchets but wanted to make up a prototype version for my own small forest axe as well .
This Proto version has x3 points of retention , the first the kydex mold itself , secondry retention comes in the form of a self tightening screw allowing the user to set the required retention and 3rd in the form of a Mil-spec shock cord loop with ITW Nexus hardware.
I plan to make a few more versions of these including a full survivor model and will probavbly make a leather version in the same style for those anti -plastic kydex haters out there .
