I have truly been an RT fan my entire life.As a child, when I was 4, actually, I found myself with my father quite often. He would always watch cartoons that I never see otherwise with my Mom, which would intrigue me. Futurama, Family Guy, you know, the usual "mature humour" ones, and he was cool with me watching them with him occasionally, since I didn't truly understand the majority of it anyways.But one in particular sort of caught my eye.It amazed me. It was a video game, except a TV show. I'd see my Dad playing it on the Xbox sometimes, and seeing it as a show, with all this humour? It was magical to me. Caboose was my favourite, probably because I was young and it was I only really understood him, and that remains to this day. We'd watch Red vs Blue, every week, me and my Father. Might sound like something sort of strange to bond over, and of course it's quite a mature show for a child, but nonetheless we enjoyed it. I knew I shouldn't have been watching it, since my Dad would always turn it off if my Mom entered the room, which surely made it all the more fun.Flash forward a while. Between the ages of 10 and 13, my parents went through a pretty rough breakup. My Dad cheated, and not to get into details, but my Mom wasn't always treated right by him (but he always treated me and my brothers right), and so we moved 8 hours away to be closer to my Mom's side of the family. Of course, this resulted in the end of us watching Red vs Blue. I missed it for a while, but I was still young, and forgot about it shortly afterwards. Life went on.Flash forward again. I'm now entering high school at 14, and I rediscover Rooster Teeth. I found them via YouTube, primarily Achievement Hunter, and have been happily watching them ever since. One day, I was poking around the Rooster Teeth website, which I didn't do to often. I usually just watched the videos on YouTube, and missed lots of them since I wasn't as dedicated to watching every video as I am now, and this was the day I realized that Rooster Teeth was the creators of Red vs Blue. This was the most amazing thing to me. I had been unknowingly watching the same people I loved for so long, and the fact that I watched them with my Dad so long ago? It was the coolest feeling. I actually called up my Dad, and told him. Turns out he actually had stopped watching Red vs Blue, but was happy for me for finding the channel, and he started watching again too. I had rediscovered my favourite childhood show.I still remember the nostalgic feeling I had when I began rewatching the series. This time around, I actually understood all the little bits of mature humour, and it was amazing. I was actually loving it more than I did as a child, something I didn't think possible.All in all, I've literally watched and enjoyed Rooster Teeth all my life. I'm only 16, but I've grown up quite literally watching your content, and I feel like you guys have influenced my life for the better. I couldn't think of better role models, and personalities to enjoy daily, and I owe you all so much for it. All the laughs, all the stuff I learned, listening to podcasts, it's something that's irreplaceable, and cannot be found anywhere else on the internet.Thank you. You guys have shaped me into the person I am today, and I couldn't be happier. I consider RT and it's community to be family, and I couldn't possibly be more proud to be a part of it.
