It was almost insulting how little effort they put into hiding. Faust had seen it and knew it for what jt was almost instantly. A little graphic on a webpage, almost unnoticable, yet when it was noticed you couldn’t stop thinking about it. Faust’s scansight allowed him to understand it, and therefore, resist its effects. He traced the location as best he could, but whoever made it covered their tracks pretty well. If it was anyone else, they might not have been able to find them.
“M1NDH4X0RZ” Faust mumbled, his voice thick with revulsion. He didn’t like showing anger, but when it came to these people, he had no mercy. They did nothing but sow misery, trying to use HIS technology for nothing more than selfish gain. They even stole a shipment of his prototype Spellbook Gauntlets back before the current product, the MANA, was set for sale. He’d spent a long time searching for them, and recovering the stolen gauntlets, but he knew it was ultimately fruitless. Whenever he ended one of their bases, two more popped up.
He still couldn’t just let them do what they wanted, he had to let them know he wasn’t going to just be pushed around.
He stood in front of the door of the building he’d traced the signal to. It was a warehouse building near the pier. The programmer clenched his fist, the fist that had his MANA gauntlet on it. An aura of orange energy surged up his body.
Faust’s body spun and his foot hit the door, sending it flying off its hinges and crashing into the wall opposite. He walked calmly into the building and prepared another spell to be cast.
