“Are you crazy?" Blue eyes slimmed towards the male, brushing off the other’s command by taking a defiant step forward.
If he believed even for a second that she would bail and leave him to fend off the potential swarm of nobles all by himself, then surely he had been bashed in the head one too many times. A huff flew past her lips and she took another step forward, feet spread and muscles tensing to take on a more defensive stance.
“Don’t be pulling any of that macho bullshit; you don’t know how many there are!” she barked in retort, teeth bared to back up her claim. Behind the illusion one ear flicked, the commotion driving towards them growing even louder now.
By the sound of it, they’d be upon them soon.
The question seemed to have an obvious answer, or so the wolf assumed.
How many would run blind into a fight with nobles? Not many. Then again, the
sane also had something to lose. The worst he had would be the others within
the pack, but unlike the female beside him--
“You have Hige to make it back to; you think I'm going to let you
risk your life? Besides, I'm not feeding you 'macho bullshit', I will
be fine.”
Or so he could hope. Alone, it would probably be more rough to fight the
nobles, whether there were five or twenty. It would probably be easier to have
an ally by his side, albeit that wasn't his main goal. It was to make sure that she
could actually return to her mate, no matter how irritating Hige could be. And by
the sounds of it, he'd have to do it quickly.
