It's not the greeting he expects or wants, but admittedly, his tolerance and his understanding of sarcasm isn't quite up to speed as anyone else's might be. He's simple like that. Or stunted. Hates the idea of the first but fears the latter. Which just results in him not knowing what it is Marina means by any of it, so he just scowls as he walks past her, fingertips dripping scarlet trails after him where the other guy's blood stains them still.
"No," he says simply, catching her jaw with the blood-soaked hand without looking at her, crimson smearing indelicately upon her cheeks. Doesn't break his stride as he pulls her along his path. "Don't look at other men."
