Dad's have the extra weight of the family to care for. And you see my posts of spend as much time as you can with your fam. Just because you need to be aware and be tactical does not mean you give up on dreams. Make a plan. Talk it over with the spouse and older kids. Be smart about it. Prepare. There is no need to get all excited about it and prematurely blow it. Patience and preparation. You still have dad responsibilities. You still have husband responsibilities. But pursue the dream. Involve the family. I travel the country and am in awe of dads that took the risks and have these amazing multi-generational businesses that changed their families forever. I'd rather fail and know I gave it my best shot than get old and wonder what could have been. And always remember this is for the family.
