(588) Originally when reading this trilogy I had no context for areas or characters that are just kind of thrown all about. Judging by the fact that at the start of this series Tarren Mill is human occupied this whole thing takes place before World of Warcraft but after Warcraft III and doesn't reach completion till the last raid of Burning Crusade. Seeing Sylvanas still being semi helpful is strange considering Shadowlands and like all of Battle for Azeroth. As a whole, it's an alright series that is definitely worth having if your a Warcraft collector and happen upon it at a used bookstore or grab the compendium of all three. The art is absolutely the best part.

(587) I really like Trag and I'm sad that I only own Legends volume 1 because his story is continued over the course of that series. This one definitely has more going on than the last and I actually redrew freehand a panel from this volume for a high school art project.
Centuries ago, Aveena had lived a life of temporary peace. Her people had found a home on Draenor. The orcs were peaceful neighbors to them, the planet was a thriving sanctuary to the Draenei. Her mother spent her days teaching Aveena and her brother the ways of the light. Aveena a paladin, he a priest. His training had started before hers, this was her older brother after all, and he was able to move on to learn from the high priests of their people. As her mother was the paladin she looked up to, she remained with her to continue her training. Their father was often busy assisting with the city, though he had taken up the skills of a Shaman, a new concept for the Draenei, he often would be found with volunteers who wished to build up their new home world. It was peaceful for a time, they often would trade with the nearby orc clan. Aveena loved to go with her mother on those trips, they got on well with the orcs and she always enjoyed meeting with them. There was a warrior named Kharga that she often sparred with on their trips, the two were fast friends from the start.
After a few centuries of staying hidden from the Burning Legion, their luck ran out. Targath had found a trace of the magic used to get them to Draenor. Prophet Velen had always gotten them away before. This time around, Kil’jaeden played differently, carefully.
The orcs were tricked into believing the Draenei had plans to attack. Ner’zul was led to believe that this would occur, however, he realized too late that he was fooled. He could not stop the army. So many lives were lost in the battles that ensued. Aveena was not yet allowed onto the battlefield but was tasked with protecting the citizens of Tuurem. Her mother was part of the fighting force, her father and brother healing the wounded, all separated from her in Shattrath.
Tuurem quickly began to take a turn for the worse, Aveena helping in evacuating all the civilians out of the city and to nearby towns or, should they wish to make the journey, to Shattrath. While the trip was usually safe, with the fights raging around them, they could not guarantee anyone's safety anymore.
Soon, Aveena was reunited with her family. Her mother had returned to the city as well. Their retreat was forced. The remaining Draenei would take refuge in Zangar Marsh.
This was where they remained for years until Illidan, the Blood Elves, and various Draenei who had gone through the Dark Portal returned, and defeated Magtheridon. When one of the Tempest Keep ships was commandeered by the Draenei and then sabotaged, Aveena and her brother had been aboard. They landed, with the rest of the Draenei aboard, on Azeroth. Her brother stayed on Azuremyst to help with the refugees there. Aveena, saying goodbye, went out with those who wished to greet and join the Alliance.
When Velen convinced the Alliance to take up arms and go back to Outland, this was when her parents were able to reunite with Aveena. Her family now together, Aveena again looked to further her knowledge as a Paladin. The Alliance had a strong number of Paladins and she was very interested in learning more of Uther and Tyrion.
She currently resides in Stormwind, joining the heroes of the Alliance on various campaigns to protect Azeroth, but returning when the fights are finally over until she finds a new residence elsewhere.
Personality - Smile ever present on her face, Aveena is slightly reserved but ever intrigued by the going ons around her. She often spent her time in Darnassus but has relocated to Stormwind for the time being. Due to the amount of time around the Night Elves, she has adopted their formality. When she grows comfortable around those she speaks with, they find she opens up more. Not the most silly Draenei but will try to keep those around her light hearted and happy.
She stands taller than most Draenei her age though not towering over them. Her face bears a light splattering of freckles across the bridge of her nose.
Most often she will be seen wearing plate armor, shining with infused power. An ever present blue glow emanating off of her armor pieces. When she is able to have a brief respite from assisting in battles on the front lines, she will stow her armor for a time and relax in various dresses. The fashion of the humans was something she grew to appreciate as she found more and more beautiful pieces to add to her collection.
