#autumn excursion

There's going to be a huge amazing party over at the Suzaku palace, and the ladies are all very sad because they can't go anywhere and they are going to miss this amazing dance between Genji and To no Chujo (obviously the ladies' favorite otp). The emperor insists that the boys do a rehearsal dance in the palace so everyone can see it. To no Chujo is described as handsome enough, but besides Genji he "was like a nondescript mountain shrub beside a blossoming cherry". Everyone is essentially crying over how beautiful Genji is..

The emperor's other wife (the one who's carrying Genji's baby) is all flustered and can't really focus, maybe because she's pregnant with her son in law's chlid, I don't know. Genji sends her some romantic poetry.

So then everyone heads over to the Suzaku palace, jamming out on their instruments the entire way there. When Genji and To no Chujo perform the dance, it's so damn beautiful that they are both promoted up a rank.

Meanwhile, apparently there is a rumor going around that Genji is hiding a lady in his house. Aoi, his wife, does not approve. Genji finds it hard to leave little Murasaki's side...except when he wants to go see his step mom. While he is waiting to see her (Fujitsubo), he makes conversation with her brother, Prince Hyobu, who is also Murasaki's father! (try to keep up with all the names...). Both Genji and Prince Hyobu find themselves wishing that the other was a woman. They just can't stop thinking how handsome the other guy is. I mean, at this rate, Genji should just sleep with this guy too, so he can complete the incest circle of life. But alas, no gay sex...

Fast forward some time, Fujitsubo haves her baby, and he looks just like Genji! Everyone can see the resemblance except for the emperor. Then again, Genji is his son so maybe he just thinks all of his children pop out as Genji's?

The Emperor tries to have a talk with Genji about his promiscuity, and Genji reflects on this as he begins a relationship with a cougar in the palace named Naishi. At first Genji is not really into being a boy toy, but he does like sex so he kind of just rolls with it. To no Chujo gets involved with this lady as well (out of jealousy?) One night, when Genji is with the lady, To no Chujo bursts in and steals Genji's clothes. Genji rips off To no Chujo's clothes in retaliation, and Naishi is just damn amused to have two young hot men stripping in front of her. Unfortunately, no gay sex....
