Usually Sheikho's school finishes at 12:30 pm but on that day it was going to finish early at 11:00 am. So after leaving the car at mechanic I picked up my phone with zero battery(curtesy lupus fog) and forgot to pick one of the two umbrellas I had kept in the car despite it raining cats and dogs ( lupus fog again). I hired a taxi and reached School , now I had to kill an hour and a half and no battery in cell and no umbrella! So I gave my phone and charger to the school admin officer and stood under a tree. Sometimes I really wish I had a book in my purse for such occasions! Once Sheikho got free both of us were waiting for rain and hailstorm to subside and we were singing songs like wheels on the bus and twinkle twinkle little star. By 12:00 rain subsided but water was standing every where! So now I have a big purse, school bag and my son in my arms, and rain water gushing down the road! A lady in a car stopped and asked me where do u want to go? And just like that I think I found a person who was not only gracious but also funny! She teaches part time in a nearby university and was here to pick her daughter from daycare. So now when I look back and connect the dots , everything from car to rain to shekho's school ending earlier than usual all were there to make sure I meet this wonderful lady. Cars can be repaired, water from rain will dry but it's not every day your meet someone with whom you click instantly! To the lady who saved me and my son in Islamabad rain! May you rock always!

So yesterday my car was having an issue on our way back from my in laws. It’s automatic Vitz and was not picking up speed beyond 75 and even then it was screaming. Usually by 20 kemp hit would change gear then by 40kmph another and by 60kmph one more. But yesterday it was as if it was running on first gear. So I took him to my trusted mechanic in Karachi Company G9 called AutoNet (it’s near Tehzeeb). So the Ustad ( master mechanic) told me that something in the silencer is blocking it so it needs cleaning and will take two to three hours. I told him I will drop the car in the morning after dropping my son to school. (1/2)
