Here he is at last!

This is Charlie Gartley, the autistic son of Ingrid.

He’s very shy and kind of and outcast, and it doesn’t help that Boggertown is very autism averse.

Then, when he finds the box, he discovers joy in his life. That was cut short when his only friend Charlotte Emily was injured in a tragic accident.

The toys and shoes inside the chest he found, angry at the way the people treat their master, come to life and start infecting Boggertown with childish joy. Poor Charlie winds up getting kidnapped by them in the process. What will happen to him? I’m keeping it a secret cause I’m evil >:)

Napster actually has one of the disabilities I have- lower supports needs autism. He's not alone in this, quite a few of my OCs do cuz I find viewing the world through an autistic lense makes it a bit difficult for me to write neurotypical characters.

In Napster's case, he has some vocal and physical stims that mimic his favorite animal, a cat, so basically he would meow or knead things a lot when he was younger (he really likes soft textured clothing, blankets, pillows etc).

Unfortunately, his peers growing up would make fun of him for this so he formed a mask. His family life was not great either so he would mask there too. About the only place he could feel comfortable stimming was with his one childhood friend, Benny the cat, a stray whom he met frequently at an abandoned shack, the small bit of respite he had from the people who hurt him so.

He would eventually find someone in adulthood who accepted his stims and allowed him to do so freely, another human in fact, but that is a story for another day 🤭💜

Unfortunately, like Napster, my family home isn't always the best to openly stim (being the origin of where my autism came from doesn't keep you from abelism! Whoda thunk it🙃). Family bs aside, I also had a cat friend for 19yrs who was safe to stim around and helped me regulate- His name was Motor (full govt name, Motorcycle Butterscotch (not doxxing my last name)). He was the calmest cat you'd ever meet and purred all the time 💜💜💜

One last thing about Napster that is relevant to his experience is he is adopted and is not the same race as his family and a majority of his peers growing up. Part of the bullying he experienced was in regards to his race/skin color which is something I have not experienced as a fair skinned white guy, so I wanted to draw attention to that because it is important to tell more stories of autistic people of color. I definitely think, for Napster, this makes him feel the need to mask more (cuz he is often in unsafe environments with people who don't understand). I hope that this part of his story and character feels realistic and respectful. I am open to concrit, so if you are an autistic person who is mixed Filipino and Chinese and live in a majority white country and feel comfortable sharing your experience, I am here to listen.

Oc reference for 'Null/Zero' (also nicknamed jeff, if you want to call him Jeff....) he is autistic. more information below.

Yes this character has AUTISM and despite however way i showed it in my character, I am not saying it HAS to look like this , cuz autism looks different in other people/characters. For null, it just looks like him being a robotic, immature , cranky , externally emotionless piece of shit... He doesn't care if you refer to him as a girl or a boy, his personality leans towards both feminine and masculine. he doesn't care and thinks gender and pronouns are meaningless and not important. he believes he is 'Nothing' (that is literally his name.)' that is probably cuz he is edgy and emo and depressed af! his name is based off the character Kassadin from league of Legends. one of kassadin's taunt voicelines is : "You are null and void." other names you can call him: Ori. Orion. Jeff. Null. Zero. i didn't want to call him ori because... there's already a video game character named Ori. (i love that game). so i had to come up with more names for him. yes the Jeff name comes from the "my name Jeff" meme. i forgot to add his age, but he's basically old enough to drink and go inside a casino. i think the zero name maybe came from the game 'katana zero ' and the main character is named agent zero or project zero. i feel bad for taking that name too. oh well.

Um so basically Callie was the first of the two that I came up with and initially when I decided to give her a sibling I gave her Lily(pre transition, duh) as her baby brother. I couldn't manage to gain any attachment to him though so I actually considered completely scrapping the charecter, I actually wrote lots of Callie's story with him just completely out of the picture
