Scott had kind of done a lot of stupid things over the years; in fact, he was pretty sure that his mom was keeping an entire book of them, written down somewhere to embarrass him one day at his wedding (hopefully to Allison) or whatever best suited her mood, but Scott was pretty sure that showing up after dark with a literal baby in his arms probably topped everything to date. Which was why as soon as Melissa pulled the door open, Scott hastily spit out a response. "Somegirlinthepreservejustpracticallythrewherkidatmeandwalkedaway, I promise I use protection EVERY time, I swear to God this kid isn't even mine and I don't know what I'm doing and--"

     Perhaps he should start with the thing that started it in the first place: her personality. Melissa is a very strong person. Chris has always had an affinity for a strong woman. Always. If Victoria wasn't a good enough indication then he doesn't really know what is. There's just something about a woman who knows how to take charge. Maybe it's something that's been drilled into his mind with the Argent's code -- 'Daughters to be leaders.'

      Melissa's independent, definitely--undeniably so--and despite his many differences with Scott, his ability to understand him has gotten much better. He can see very clearly that he was raised well. He has a great deal of admiration of respect for her.
