For the posterity and history of those to come and those that will leave us, I am Nukol Silse and I have been assigned to supervise the expansion of our efforts on Eos. Though Prodromos has been successful as an outpost and living area, recent deep crust scans have revealed a particularly promising vein of aluminum deep enough to merit an outpost but not so deep as to dissuade eventual generalization of our residents. The area has been likewise populated by intriguing flora not seen normally around the primary settlement and, given our scientific origins, I have seen it fit to request a botanist to be brought from stasis for some token research. Perhaps it will provide us with a miracle, hardy crop suitable for all species? My doubts, as well as my boundless patience, should be evident enough.
Officially we are Site B, but names were suggested back on the Nexus in hopes of fostering a certain degree of positivity for our new endeavor. Indeed, our new outposts here in Andromeda have supplanted our original attempts and replaced them in history but the memory of past failures still sting, especially for those of us inclined towards memory permanence. I suggested it be named Robur, in honor for the hardiness and resilience our program has shown, but the name pulled from the hat was Aeyus. A human creation no doubt, a guess I hazard thanks to the snickers and smiles it created in the simians, but as it stands I honor the system we selected and such Aeyus has begun its construction.
Our first three days will be focused on securing resource and communication infrastructure be established with Prodromos as well as efficient planning for housing and facilities to avoid needless sprawl. Though my name has been left for some other outpost, my layout was approved. I will, of course, include images taken for the record upon completion and during the process, but for now I must sign off. My new arrivals are coming and it would be a poor start to permit them to wait alone after being given such a momentous task.
