One of the best compliments I’ve ever received in my life was... “I feel like I can just be myself around you.” That compliment has always been my favorite because we all have fractures & flaws. I don’t ask or expect anything of anyone to be other than who they are. I’d much rather authenticity than phony. As long as we aren’t disrespecting each other & disrespecting ourselves we are good. Bottom line is... You can’t expect everyone to be you or to have the same perception as you. We all have differences & you can learn something from everyone even if that means learning what not to do. If we’re honest with ourselves, we all turn our noses up at times. But be careful because the ones you’re turning your nose up at or making efforts to assure they know you are ‘better than’ could be the ones who will be the greatest blessing in your life.
