Welcome to the ravens wood institute !!!!
A university for the magically inclined and talented set in Australia . More lore to drop soon!
The next character I get to play will be Pan the house fae. So I’m gonna write out my process for fleshing out a larp character to show you guys.
Parts of me I want to explore through this character: ego, bluntness, truths vs lies, deceit, trickery, intentional miscommunication, confidence, performance, hubris, impatience, impulsiveness.
Colour schemes I want this character to have: greens and browns, or black and brown. Maybe some orange too.
Personality quirks and mannerisms: tall and straight posture, grin too wide and insincere, hands behind back or purposeful placed, too much eye contact.
These three questions really help me to create a character that is 3d and relatable to people and easy to play. Usually the costuming is what really makes me click with a character concept so having that in mind while fleshing out is helpful for me.
The next bit is writing a backstory for the character which is a bit harder. It doesn’t have to be a novel but I like to put enough in to justify the feelings I want to explore. Eg, if I want to play an angry character- why are they angry and what makes them angry? Let your imagination run wild.
I also love making mood boards and playlists to find some more vibes and costume inspiration.
