Michael Hutchence showing off his aussie accent in 1988. (x)
I'm so curious why ppl say aussies say no as "naur" where do you hear the r. We don't even pronounce r's
impact of rereading the whole of wwg is that now i - a speaker of english-as-second-language whose accent is the closest to north american only bc of how I'm suppressing the foreign accent and not bc of intentional attempt at sounding american - mentally perceive english with an australian accent when reading something lmfao
😂😂😂
That's fantastic! Doing what I can to spread Aussie culture 🦘🐨
I'm excited whenever I hear people are reading the fic with the accent because obviously that's how I am writing it but I didn't really expect anyone to 'hear' that on the other side.
Next step is to get everyone watching the Aussie classics so you can speak like us too.
simon baker being aussie should not have been a surprise but hearing his natural accent sent me into the stratosphere thanks bye

I always found it funny how the accent you use when saying “au naur” got called “speaking in cursive” or the “indie girl accent.” Like, y’all, it was always, and still is, supposed to be a mockery of the Australian accent. It doesn’t need a new name. It’s just making fun of the Aussie accent. It always has.
Ok so falling inn love is a great romcom but like is it so hard to find actual people from New Zealand to play people from new Zealand??? Like half of them sound like aussies and I’m just a bit peeved ngl
