send me a ⭐ and i'll give a director's commentary on one of my fics!

for you, aur, i'll talk about my most recent CNL fic: oh, how was i to know, which is about clint realizing that natasha is his and laura's missing soulmate.

this fic kinda came out of two desires: i wanted to explore why S.H.I.E.L.D. knows about natasha and not laura, and i also wanted to explore the pre-bond time, cause i knew from the start that clint didn't know that natasha was his soulmate when he saved her life but i didn't know how to explain that

(it was fun to write about pre-canon CNL, though, cause it let me use the timeline i made for my very first CNL fic which will never see the light of day! one day, maybe, i'll use the laura backstory from that fic for something)

“Can I- hug? Is hugging okay?”

Barry just leaned forward, plopping his head against Magnus’s chest. Magnus wrapped his arms around him and pretended not to notice that his shirt was getting wet.

“You’re just so young,” Barry said, voice wet with tears. “You and- and Lucretia, you’re- I can’t even imagine doing this at your age. I’m- Magnus, you’re so much stronger than you know.”

“Bull in a china shop, yeah, I got it,” Magnus said. Barry might have laughed a little, but it sounded a lot like a sob, so Magnus wasn’t too sure.

“Emotionally, I mean,” Barry said. “I can’t- like, I broke down ‘cus my faucet was leaking when I was your age. And you’re out here fuckin’- dying and shit, you- godsdamn, Magnus, I should be the one giving you a hug.”

I look for [Brunost] when I go to any place with fancy cheese. One day I will find it!

It’s actually often not kept with the fancy cheeses -- most brunost in the US is imported and prepackaged so it’s often with the “wrapped” cheeses (depends on the shop too -- one Whole Foods kept it with the pre-wrapped cheese, the other kept it in the cheese case with the “custom cut the size you want” stuff). But definitely always check the cheaper prepackaged cheese too! It’s a square block in a tan colored wrapper.

Errr...Sam, I know that you love Nicholas, but the entire family are/were distinguished collectors, and the Klee bequest at the Met was Heinz Berggruen’s (father of Nicholas).

I love this so much and I can't wait for part 4! Love how you wrote everyone.

I’m sort of a dumpster fire of tumblr organization right now (because if I put links in post, I’m pretty sure the algorithm wont show them and, for I am unfortunately mortal, I crave that good good notes count and viewership/feedback.)

Some stim toys I saw at my local (US) Wal-Mart. Figured I would share because they are small and inexpensive, and may be good for back to school. There were two mochi squishes per bag. They also had Koosh balls and tangles and putties and slimes.

Aussies might like to know that the Squeesh Yum mochi squishies are also available at K-Mart for $2 AUD (and I’ve got them photographed for a review that hasn’t happened yet). I couldn’t find an online listing for either item on Walmart’s website, unfortunately.

I love that pack of food-shaped puzzle erasers! They don’t often make the cake-slice ones locally for some reason, so of course they’re my favourite.
