Aurhik was pensive for a long moment.
âNaps,â he said with an emphatic nod. âItâs never not a good time for a nap.â

A Light in the Shadow
       Someone I loved once gave me a box of darkness. It took me years to understand this was a gift. -Mary Oliver

Day Eighteen
Is your character a good cook? Whatâs their favorite recipe, whether theyâre good or not?
{{ In Character }} ::
âCompared to some people,â Aurhik smiled; behind him, a certain albino bristled and huffed, âIâm a master of the art. Really, though, Iâm passable at best. Learned enough to survive growing up - not that I was ever wanting, mind, just that my mother couldnât prepare a meal to save either of our lives.â
He hummed thoughtfully and tapped his chin.
âIâm told I make a decent stew.â
{{ Out of Character }} ::
Aurhikâs culinary skill was born out of necessity. Beyond his motherâs abysmal cooking, days as a soldier meant he had to become at least decent at it if he didnât want to starve out on the field.
Day Eleven
Is there an animal you equate with your character?
{{ In Character }} ::
A slow, almost canine grin split his face, baring teeth gleaming white and oddly sharp.
âA wolf,â he said, and the grin seemed to stretch beyond the boundaries of his cheeks, âor so Iâm told.â
{{ Out of Character }} ::
Aurhikâs spirit animal, of sorts, was revealed in a type of magical ritual. Heâs represented by a wolf, to the point where his lovers refer to him as âwolfieâ and heâs currently raising one as a pet.
What habits does each find endearing in each other? || @Aurhik & Maneshi
Aurhik answered first. âHe snores.âManeshi leveled a glare at him. âThinks he is funny.ââThe total butchering of common is also cute.ââPurposefully antagonizes others because he enjoys fighting.ââI do not.ââHn. Correction. He enjoys losing fights.ââOi!â

What is something you like to do with your husband? || @Maneshi
Maneshiâs head canted to the side and, like he did for every question asked of him, he pondered.â⌠We discuss history,â he said at length, then nodded, satisfied with his answer. âCompare and contrast the pasts of Eorzea and Othard - their peoples, cultures, magicks. Try to find reasons for similarities and differences. Beyond the interest in the topic it helps us, I think, to understand each other.â
Day One
Describe your characterâs relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
{{ In Character }} ::
A small, fond smile worked its way onto his lips and his eyes focused on something far away.
âI never knew my father. By accounts he was a good man, and my mother loved him dearly, but he passed before my birth. Mother, though... She was my world. She could be stern, she could be strict, she couldnât cook worth half a damn but Iâd not have traded her for anything. I got to learn of her youth, and I know that the death of my father took away a good deal of the fire sheâd once held behind her eyes, but she never once let me see it. She raised me, she taught me, she cared for me and she loved me - and she did it all on her own. I wouldnât be half the man I am today without her guidance.â
{{ Out of Character }} ::
Aurhik is an enormous mamma's boy, and most of his formative years were spent shaping himself into something she would be proud and approving of. Thatâs not to say she was a bad parent - quite the opposite - but having no other family made him cling tightly to her skirts, and he never really learned to let go.
