"So we had Christmas, New Years: did you kiss that girl or what?" They said the arms of the person you spent New years with were the arms of the person you'd spend the rest of the year with. Virgil had spent his completely alone with a bowl of ramen noodles for several years at this point. He had high hopes for his siblings though, Eoin had been with that short, pasty twink, and Aurea had mentioned there being someone special while decorating. As the witch leaned in to dish out some of the homemade pasta he'd made for them for dinner, he had to let Aurea know, "You know what they say right? Life is full of pasta-bilities."

The eyesore was back in his parking lot, all things considered though Virgil didn't have the heart in him to get it towed again. Maybe tomorrow or next week, he'd have to see, time would tell. "Looks like we're going to be sticking around a while." Virgil was a senator now, things had changed, the pack and the coven were letting their roots dig in deep. More from their coven would be here soon, and while Lupercal was independent they were right to be keeping an eye on the wolves inside. These Romans had committed crimes against witchkind, Virgil never forgot, and neither did he forgive. "How do you feel about that?"

People forgot that Aurea was a fighter, that she'd had it hard, and that every bit of recognition she had was hard-won and earned the difficult way. "I see you, Alpha-Wolf." Aurea had told him she was planning to fight, fight for the Moretti name, for the Ivy, and most importantly, for herself. Proud as hell was what he was, the gauntlet, that first round - but she was up against the draegloth next, a fucking psychopath who'd proven very clearly what he was going to do to the wolves he knocked down. "You really plan on going against that thing?"

They were both thinking it, Eoin in the enemy hands. Nobody wanted to think about it. It was there though in the air between them, a cloud that permeated the gaps around them. Pungent, worry and fear came with a kind of stink that made everything taste a bit sour. Virgil didn't have any jokes, and he didn't have any words of wisdom, but when he approached Aurea it was with two glasses. Something strong for her, and tonic for him. "Scored this off the vampires, you'll have to tell me if it's any good."
