AU where Skylar doesn't know about his much about sister, just that he was abandoned when he was just three years old. Rather, he was nearly killed in a house fire that killed his parents while his older brother and sister were never found. Maybe they set the fire, maybe they died in the fire, no one really knew, and Skylar didn't really care. All he cared about was getting his next fix, a way to escape from the loneliness that plagued him every moment of his sober life. He wasn't sure when he had started the drugs, he only knew that they helped him in ways no human ever could. Though, waking up next to strangers every morning was becoming tiresome. He knew he needed help, to get better before this road led him to death, but he wasn't sure he really cared all that much anymore. Maybe it was time to let go, to move on to another life. Because, if there was anything Skylar believed in, it was that his next life had to be better than this one.
