This is the best song I have heard this year. Turn it right up for some true 'fuck yeah rock and roll'. Seriously, rock it and enjoy, if you don't I promise your money back.

Listening to the 'Modern BBQ Classics' playlist on my laptop always makes me smille when it throws up gems like this.
So while we are celebrating all good things rock and roll I present to you this amazing track from Sea Scouts. There is a certain darkness in this track that can only come from a Hobart band. It also completely rocks ths house. It may be from the 90s but I'd still go and see this music played today. Rock it and enjoy.
So I once went and saw this band play in front of 5 people (not including the 5 members of the support band) around this time 2 years ago. They have have now released and excellent album that I am really enjoying. If I was curating a festival this summer and wanted a local act that could fire up the crowd in an early afternoon set I'd choose theses guys. They are a 2 piece and would be cheaper to book than some bands and they would travel light. However, they rock live and play a little faster then this. I think this song is both excellent and hilarious. Lyrically, these guys nail it on this album which can be got from here for a fee. You should really rock it and enjoy.
If you like your rock and roll somewhere between 1950 and 1960 then the Gooch Palms are right up your alley. This is a two piece from Newcastle who have reloacted to the States and they do their rock and roll in a fine way. Apparently their live show is excellent and I'd be making sure they get back to Australia soon enough. This is a bit of a melanchony track but you shoudl still rock it and enjoy!

So, this came out about 15 years ago but is kind of timeless in an indie rock kind of way. Deep Water hail from Melbourne and that is all I know about them. I really have nothing which is why it has taken so long to post this. I really like this song and so should you. Try it and enjoy!
The Hierophants come from Geelong. I reckon sound from the surf coast of Victoria is my favourite in all of Australia. No wonder Patrick Dangerfield wanted to go back and play at Geelong. I never picked him as grage rocker but maybe I was wrong. Nah, I don't think os I reckon it just coincidence, Dangerfield ain't got the rock. These guys do and it is full the surf variety so all you, rock it and enjoy!
