supergirl movie thoughts (non-spoilery)!!!
it is definitely NOT!!! as bad as reviews would make you believe. Overall it’s a fun movie, and not terrible. It’s decent, it’s okay enough….
but like,,,,, as someone who got Woman of Tomorrow and read through it before the movie, and made both people who I went with read through it before the movie as well, and we all very much enjoyed that comic……
the movie was admittedly unfortunately disappointing :((((((( I feel like they really missed the entire point of the comic they were trying to adapt, and the emotional core and heart really wasn’t there….. (VAGUE SPOILERS AHEAD) especially the ending left a LOT to be desired, with a certain choice Kara makes there (VAGUE SPOILERS OVER)
I still have hope for the DCU movieverse!! But after how phenomenal I found superman last year….. I can’t deny being disappointed by supergirl 😭 even if it’s not as bad as reviews are apparently making it out to be
